Bachu County Tianshan Natural Plant Products Co., Ltd. was established on September 18, 2006, located on Yingbin South Road, east of Bachu County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is affiliated with Xinjiang Tianshan Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd. It was restructured from the original Bachu branch of Xinjiang Tianshan Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd. after acquiring the neighboring Shanghai Liantai Licorice Products Factory.

In 2011, Xinjiang Tianshan Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd., controlled by China Pharmaceutical Health Industry Co., Ltd., produced glycyrrhizic acid precipitates, which are divided into low-temperature acid precipitates and high-temperature acid precipitates. The annual production capacity is 300 tons of glycyrrhizic acid precipitate raw material intermediates.

In 2014, the company established a new production line in the Bachu County Industrial Park. The total investment for the project amounted to 23 million yuan, with an annual processing capacity of 500 tons of low-temperature acid precipitates. The project spans an area of 200 acres. Currently, the project has been completed and is expected to commence production in June 2016

Xinjiang Licorice Industry Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") was established in May 2003. The company is 65% owned by Xinjiang Tianshan Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd. and 35% owned by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Bureau of Bachu County. The company possesses 139,100 mu of land (as stated on the land certificate) for use as a base for wild licorice and artificially cultivated licorice.

The company is primarily engaged in the artificial cultivation of licorice, the development and utilization of both artificial and wild licorice resources, the construction of licorice bases, ecological construction and environmental protection, the fattening and sale of cattle and sheep, the operation of agricultural and sideline products (excluding those requiring national approval), the cultivation and operation of Chinese herbal medicines (excluding those requiring special approval), and the import and export trade of licorice (projects subject to approval according to law can only be carried out after obtaining approval from relevant departments).
